Pyrolino has two different types of air supply inlets that allow the necessary amount of air inside the main combustion chamber. The primary air coming from the bottom inlets keeps the fuel burning and pushes the volatile gases released due to combustion up to the surface. The secondary air coming from the top inlets is used to ignite those fuel gases (gasification process). Fuel appears burning in layers from top to bottom as follows: a) charcoal wasted b) charcoal lit and c) non-combustible fuel. This is maintained until the charcoal reaches the bottom. Then, the charcoal burning phase will begin with a characteristic blue flame due to carbon monoxide combustion.
Before starting a fire, make sure that you cleared away any ground debris, dried brush or any other flammable substances around Pyrolino stove. Place Pyrolino on stable ground and fill it with fuel. Place some tinder, firelighters or simply dry leaves on the top of the fuel and ignite them. Adjust the air flow accordingly, depending on the fuel you use. The denser the fuel, the more air is required to combustion. Wait for about 2 - 5 minutes before using. Place your cookware on top of the pot stand. Enjoy your meal!
Pyrolino features a wind protection system which prevents fire hazard, by blocking the release of burning particles in the environment. However, it is advisable to use Pyrolino only in light or mild wind conditions, as medium or strong winds can turn Pyrolino over.
Pyrolino cannot be used indoors, in confined or habitable places like houses, tents, caravans, vehicles, motor homes, boats or other places that have no access to fresh air, because of danger of monoxide poisoning fatality.
Before cleaning Pyrolino, make sure it has cooled down. Turn it upside down to empty any remaining ashes. You can clean Pyrolino by using a dry cloth or plastic brush to remove any combustion residuals. Do not use hard scrub brush or power type cleanser as it may cause deformations on the metal surface. Do not pour water in the stove. It causes the production of clinker and damages its components.
